You may meet the Honors Adviser to discuss career goals, changing a major, or honors courses. But the Honors Adviser does not serve as the primary adviser for students with declared majors and cannot substitute for your assigned academic adviser. Your assigned academic adviser will be able to provide the most comprehensive information on requirements in your degree program.
To make an advising appointment or for questions about Honors Abroad, please contact Caitlin Cornwell, the Honors Adviser, at cecornwe@uncg.edu or call (336) 334-5538.
Each academic department at UNCG has a faculty Honors Liaison who is knowledgeable about their own programs and Honors. You are encouraged to get to know the Liaison in your department, especially by the time you are a junior and fully in your major.
Lloyd International Honors College also provides one-on-one advising for any UNCG student interested in applying for nationally competitive undergraduate and post-graduate fellowships such as the Fulbright, Rhodes, Marshall, Goldwater, Mellon, Truman, and Udall Fellowships. These competitive fellowships require your early and diligent attention. For national scholarship advising, contact Dr. Pamela McRae, Associate Director, at plmcrae@uncg.edu, (336) 334-5538.
