What’s your favorite thing about being an honors student?:
My favorite thing about being an Honors student is the personal relationships formed with my teachers and classmates. Unlike non honors courses, the professors go out of their way to form relationships and make the classroom a comfortable, fun environment, and the people sitting around you actually want to get to know you.

What’s your favorite thing about Greensboro?:
As a small town girl used to lots of trees and rolling hills, I love the mixture of city life and nature/wildlife which Greensboro, unlike many other major cities in the triad, has. It’s homey, yet it still pushes me out of my comfort zone. Also I don’t have to drive 20 minutes any direction to go out to eat!

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?:
I would travel to Bora Bora, Hawaii, or some sort of Greek island. I’ve always wished to live somewhere tropical and natural where I could wake up and go surfing and fall asleep midday with the breeze and sounds of the beach. Also, I frequently wish I was a star in Mamma Mia, so I’d love to travel and live vicariously through the lands.

My advice for prospective Honors students is:
Take a chance and leap into what’s uncomfortable rather than letting it hold you back! Honors, college, new friendships, good grades etc can all be intimidating, but if you just take a chance and reach for the things you want, you’ll find your place and your own success.
