graduate fellow, pursuing a Master of Arts in English. Before joining UNC Greensboro, Joella received
her undergraduate degree in English and Professional Writing from Salem College. During her time as

Joella is a wife and the mother of three children, a lover of warm beverages, and an avid
conversationalist. She and her family live in Yadkin county with her mother and a small menagerie of
pets. In her spare time, Joella enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors,
reading, writing poetry, baking, and cooking.
