Kaitlyn Williams Anderson is the Assistant Director of Honors Communications and Outreach in Lloyd International Honors College, leading the college’s communications, marketing, and outreach initiatives. She also support Honors teaching, student advising, and engagement programming while fostering connections with prospective, current, and alumni Honors students.Kaitlyn is currently completing her Ph.D. in History at UNCG and writing a dissertation on the role of enslaved labor in the saltworks of Western Virginia on the eve of the Civil War. Her research focuses both on the economic systems of the South as well as the lives of the enslaved who made these economies possible. 

Kaitlyn has been teaching history for eight years at UNCG, Elon, and Alamance Community College, offering courses on American, Atlantic, and World history. When teaching, she enjoys using interactive methods to help keep students involved and learning. She has also worked with Let’s Learn! The World as Classroom to help spread the word about the unique, online courses the program offers to learners around the world. 

In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with her family and pets, as well as continuing to read and learn about various aspects of history and the world.
