Honors Scholars Program

The Honors Scholars Program is a prestigious scholarship opportunity for top-achieving incoming students admitted to UNCG’s Global Honors Program.
Honors Scholars receive:
- Four-year scholarships ranging from $4,000 per year to full cost of attendance
- Exclusive mentoring and programming throughout their degree focused on leadership, personal growth, and professional development
- Enhanced opportunities for study abroad, internships, research, and service

Eligibility & Selection
Selection is based on exceptional academic and extracurricular achievement, as well as personal qualities like integrity, motivation, and interest in leadership and service.
To be considered, follow this time line below:

|---|---|
| By December 1 | Apply to UNCG’s Global Honors Program |
| By January 10 | Top applicants invited to a virtual interview |
| By February 15 | Finalists receive notice of scholarship offers |
| May 1 | Deadline to confirm enrollment in the Global Honors Program and retain scholarship |
Program Expectations
Honors Scholars are expected to:
- Enroll in at least 12 credit hours each semester
- Maintain a minimum 3.3 GPA each term
- Work toward meeting Honors College graduation requirements
- Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress standards in their major
- Participate in Scholars events throughout the year
- Meet annually with Dr. Frances Bottenberg, Program Director
- Be active in campus and Honors College life
