How did you know the Honors College was right for you?
I knew the Honors College was right for me because of the many opportunities that were available to me and all of my classmates upon joining. Having the opportunity to take interesting and rigorous courses, to have support from the awesome team of advisors, and to have access to studying out of the country has truly solidified to me the value of being a part of the Honors College.

What has been your favorite Honors experience so far?
My favorite Honors experience by far has been the opportunity to study abroad for a semester in Cape Town, South Africa. While studying abroad, I was able to learn so much about myself through other people that I met and all of the places that I traveled to. It was my first time out of the country and so naturally I was really nervous about it. However, the Honors College and the International Programs Center walked me through each step and helped me so much along the way! Definitely an experience I will always treasure forever!

What does “Honors” mean to you now that you are here at UNCG?
Personally, “Honors” at UNCG exemplifies community! Since becoming a part of the International Honors College, I have been fortunate enough to have been immersed in a community that is supportive, creative, and inspiring. Whether it be in the classroom, in the advisors’ offices, or during on campus activities, the LIHC has always encouraged me, while also inspiring me to push the boundaries of my education and to learn more about the world around us.
