How did you know the Honors College was right for you?
I knew the Honors College was right for me when I came for an orientation and I heard about a philosophy of learning through improv, small intimate class sizes, and a push to study abroad. After being burned out my senior year of high school, hearing about the Honors College’s passion for learning and new classes just for Honors students made me fall in love with learning again. I felt refreshed and happy.

What has been your favorite Honors experience so far?
Being able to study abroad in Hong Kong in 2019 was the most incredible thing I’ve ever done in my life. Without the Honors requirement and Honors scholarships I don’t know that I could have gone to Asia and stood on the Great Wall of China.

What does “Honors” mean to you now that you are here at UNCG?
Honors means so many things to me. Honors is a beautiful community of people who care and want to see you through life. Lloyd International Honors College has helped me grow more than any other college experience. I have confidence and a love of learning. If you believe in the beauty of creative learning and that life is a stage then this is the place for you.
