How did you know the Honors College was right for you?

I knew the Honors College was right for me because of how different it was from other Honors Colleges. The focus on Improvisation and Play was something I had never seen before. Once I got on campus, I was able to find a community of like-minded, driven people where I was able to dive deeper into my studies and learn with a global perspective in mind.

What has been your favorite Honors experience so far?

My favorite Honors experience so far has been traveling to New York City with the Honors College Ambassadors and the Weatherspoon Art Museum (WAM). It was such a unique experience full of art, history, and deep discussions involving connections between the things we had seen in the Gilded exhibition at WAM and what we were seeing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I can truthfully say that I learned something new from everyone on the trip and experienced something I don’t think I could have received anywhere else.

What does “Honors” mean to you now that you are here at UNCG?

To me, “Honors” means exploring and learning together. It means taking the tools that the focus of Improvisation and Play gives you and applying them in your everyday life. Whether that application is in your classes or your job, I feel that growing and learning everyday encompasses the Honors College experience at UNCG.
