Grammy-award winning musician Rhiannon Giddens, Italian musician Francesco Turrisi, and Dr. Omar Ali discuss the ways Muslim culture and music spread across Africa and the global African Diaspora. Giddens played a banjo replica from the 19th century, accompanied by percussionist (and pianist) Turrisi.
