How did you know the Honors College was right for you?
I knew the Honors College was right for me after attending an Honors Friday event my senior year of high school. Everyone was so welcoming and supportive. I loved how open-minded and passionate everyone was, as well as all of the opportunities the Honors College provided. I knew it would be the perfect environment for me to continue to push myself academically, artistically, and holistically.
What has been your favorite Honors experience so far?
My favorite Honors experience so far was definitely the time I spent in Wales for my study abroad. I have always wanted to travel to new places, but I was definitely a bit nervous. Therefore, I was extremely thankful for the Honors College for not only helping me to achieve that, but also giving me the confidence to feel comfortable traveling. Also, as a theatre major, getting a broader idea as to how theatre operates in another country was irreplaceable.
What does “Honors” mean to you now that you are here at UNCG?
For me, Honors means an increased awareness of the world and how I interact with it. It means to never stop learning and growing as a person, and to always dive deeply into work that excites me. Finally, it means being a part of a diverse and accepting community of people as passionate about life as I am.
