What’s your favorite thing about being an Honors student?:

My favorite thing about being an Honors student is having the opportunity to take Honors classes. The experiences that I have had in Honors classes have been so valuable. The instructors are passionate about the subject, your Honors peers are invested in learning and exploring the content, and the classes are often discussion based instead of simply listening to a lecture.

What’s your favorite thing about Greensboro?:

My favorite thing about Greensboro is you get the best of both worlds: beautiful green spaces and a busy downtown area. There are places to hike, parks to study outside, or gardens where you can spend time with friends and relax. Downtown is also such a quick walk from campus and has many delicious restaurants and shops to browse in.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?:

I would love to travel to a Greek island with two of my closest friends because we all adore the movie Mamma Mia. It is one of the most beautiful places I have seen in pictures and I want to be able to experience it in person.

My advice for prospective Honors students is:

Take the opportunity to live in North Spencer! You will be surrounded by other students who are passionate about their major and learning just like you. Don’t be afraid to approach other Honors students in the dorm hall, during classes, or Honors events. Being a part of the Honors College gives you an opportunity to build an amazing community of friends, so make the most of it and try to put yourself out there. It might be scary, but it will be worth it.
