Dr. Cerise Glenn Manigault is Professor in the Department of Sociology and affiliated faculty member of the African American and African Diaspora Studies, where she served as Director. Her research and teaching interests include cultural identity and identity negotiation, African-American communication and culture, occupational socialization and identification of diverse groups, organizational culture, and third wave/intersectional feminism. A graduate of UNC Asheville, with an M.S. from North Carolina State University, she received her Ph.D. from Howard University.
She serves as a member of the Honors Council.
