Kaitlyn Williams Anderson is Program Manager of Strong Residential College in Lloyd International Honors College with a focus on helping students with their Global Experiences. She also oversees student advising and programming within the historic Strong Residential College. Kaitlyn is currently completing her Ph.D. in History at UNCG and writing a dissertation on the role of enslaved labor in the saltworks of Western Virginia on the eve of the Civil War. Her research focuses both on the economic systems of the South as well as the lives of the enslaved who made these economies possible.
Kaitlyn has been teaching history for eight years at UNCG, Elon, and Alamance Community College, offering courses on American, Atlantic, and World history. When teaching, she enjoys using interactive methods to help keep students involved and learning. She has also worked with Let’s Learn! The World as Classroom to help spread the word about the unique, online courses the program offers to learners around the world.
In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with her family and pets, as well as continuing to read and learn about various aspects of history and the world.
