Dr. Larry Lavender

Dance

Larry Lavender is a Professor of Dance and Faculty Fellow in the Lloyd International Honors College at UNC Greensboro. He holds an MFA in Dance from UC Irvine and a Ph.D. in Dance Education from New York University. Larry’s primary areas of research and teaching are choreography, improvisation, performance art, critical animal studies in the arts, and creativity theories and practices. Larry has lectured and taught all over the United States and in many parts of the world, including Canada, Mexico, and New Zealand.
